Here they are: the best performers so far. Prepare yourself to be surprised!
Aleksandr s1mple Kostyliev (Natus Vincere)
HLTV: https://www.hltv.org/player/7998/s1mple
The best player in 2021 continues to delight us with incredible performances. 2022 was difficult for the team, but thanks to Aleksandr’s flashy plays, Na’Vi were able to confidently secure the second place at the PGL Major Antwerp, and winning Blast Premier Spring after that. Statistics speak for s1mple: he wants to become the best once more.

Dmitry sh1ro Sokolov (Cloud9)
HLTV: https://www.hltv.org/player/16920/sh1ro
A young talent of Cloud9 (ex-Gambit) became the team’s crucial dominance factor throughout 2021. Results of the lineup had worsened and the team was struggling with consistency: from winning the recent IEM Dallas to a disastrous top 12-14 at the Major. However, even at Cloud9’s darkest times sh1ro was playing amazingly, which shows in his stats.

Martin stavn Lund (Heroic)
HLTV: https://www.hltv.org/player/10994/stavn
It’s common for Martin and Heroic to be underestimated: not many people consider the player and the lineup to be among the best in the world. For most viewers the Danes were always referred to as a tier-2 team. In the last year and a half the situation has begun to change: Heroic has been consistently making it to the playoffs of big tournaments time after time and taking good spots. Stavn is the success maker for his roster – a young rifler shows unbelievable results and destroys all opponents: from top teams on most important tournaments to tier-2 and tier-3 squads on Pinnacle Series.

Nikola NiKo Kovač (G2 eSports)
HLTV: https://www.hltv.org/player/3741/niko
The best performers list isn’t complete without him. Despite ups and downs and different gossips around G2, you can be sure that NiKo will always stay at the top of many various individual ratings.
Nikola’s insane stability and crazy aim make other players terrified of him.

Benjamin blameF Bremer (Astralis)
HLTV: https://www.hltv.org/player/15165/blamef
After the collapse of Astralis’ championship line-up, the Danish scene is going through tough times. There are no teams left that can show championship ambitions and win. But the talents from the country are still there, and there is every reason to believe that soon one of the Danish teams will again be able to compete for awards around the world.
From the very beginning, blameF has been on another level among the players of his level, statistically. The transition to Astralis did not change this trend: Benjamin is still leading the lineup. Thanks to the arrival of blameF and k0nfig, the Danish five began to get to tournaments’ playoffs. Will we see Astralis win one of the upcoming tournaments?

Mathieu ZywOo Herbaut (Team Vitality)
HLTV: https://www.hltv.org/player/11893/zywoo
The main star of the French scene can’t be missing from our list. A sharp drop of Mathieu’s rating can be easily explained: after switching to a new language for communication (Vitality is an international team now) it became way harder for the sniper to understand the situation on the map and find kills. Maybe it seems like the French have gradually adapted to the English language, but difficulties remain to this day. This is reflected in the results of the team.
It’s definitely expected for Vitality to return to a French-only roster. If it happens, ZywOo is coming back to ratings’ tops.

Fredrik REZ Sterner (Ninjas in Pyjamas)
HLTV: https://www.hltv.org/player/9278/rez
REZ and the entire NiP team is constantly on the buzz: we are used to seeing their names among tier-1 teams, but nothing more. The team huing out within the best 10 teams in the world, while Fredrik tried to make it to HLTV’s individual players rating, but was left out.
In 2022, the Ninjas had a breakthrough: the team drastically improved and started to win consistently. REZ once again reminded of himself as a very capable player. Will the Swede be able to keep his shape until the end of the year?

Contenders
Fredrik roeJ Jørgensen (CPH Flames, fnatic)
HLTV: https://www.hltv.org/player/14419/roej
Fredrik is impressive: as an older player (he is 28 years old), roeJ plays fantastically. Because of his discovered talent, a team of unknown Danes from Copenhagen Flames was able to shine, and Counter-Strike fans from all over the world finally learned about Fredrik.
The Dane started a new milestone in his career – fnatic, which he joined along with nicoodoz, his former teammate. We’ll see how things turn out for roeJ in the new team, but we are sure that the Danish veteran will still have his say.

Ádám torzsi Torzsás (MOUZ)
HLTV: https://www.hltv.org/player/18072/torzsi
MOUZ NXT’s academy graduate has become a clear example that academies are the future of CS:GO. MOUZ have grown themselves a strong sniper without investing in transfers. Adam shows a high level from the very first matches in the main roster, and he constantly continues to improve. At least the team has solved the problem with a sniper. Previously, acoR was a weak link in the European squad, because of whom they had difficulties in major tournaments, – sniper is one of the most important roles.
We practically didn’t see MOUZ at tier 1 tournaments, so we’ll wait with interest to see how the Hungarian sniper will prove himself.

Ivan iM Mihai (GamerLegion)
HLTV: https://www.hltv.org/player/14759/im
The Romanian talent has been playing for team Nexus for the past few years and has outgrown it. As of now, the situation is developing similarly. There is a feeling that iM deserves a chance to show himself against the best in the world, but GamerLegion just can’t reach this level of competition.
Recent rumors about changes in the team and signings of TMB and regali could change things.

Dion FASHR Derksen (ECSTATIC)
HLTV: https://www.hltv.org/player/11954/fashr
The representative of a rare country among players on the pro scene, the Netherlands, became a real discovery of the online era in 2021. FASHR’s remarkable performance and stability allowed the unknown team ECSTATIC to get to HLTV top 16.
ECSTATIC haven’t shown themselves at the top tournaments yet, and their results have worsened recently (mostly due to the forced replacement of Wolfy and the departure of trace, their coach).

Denis deko Zhukov (1WIN)
HLTV: https://www.hltv.org/player/20113/deko
In the last year Denis has become a discussed player among CS:GO fans in the CIS. The young sniper shows great performance in tournaments and sets the bar high in FPL (UPD: he was kicked recently). The recent replacement of fostar by lollipop21k has breathed new life into the players so we can see 1WIN making it to a new level. This is a chance that deko has long deserved with his outstanding game.
We have to note that this is one of the few cases when the transfer of a player who has outgrown his team is unlikely: 1WIN has solid budgets and most likely they won’t let the star go to another roster.
